Brian L. Cote

Brian is a Partner in FGMK’s Audit and Accounting Practice and provides assurance, accounting, and business consulting services to privately held businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals. His primary industries served comprise of professional services, including architectural and engineering firms, as well as insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, technology, and transportation and logistics. In addition, Brian regularly leads specialized and financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, contract reviews, and budgeting. He provides an array of advisory services, including performing outsourced accounting and CFO services, working with clients from basic blocking and tackling "closing the books" to strategic financial review and assessment of operating performance with business owners. He offers specialized expertise in Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) as well as indirect cost rate audits under the provisions of Part 31 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Brian joined FGMK in 2000 and was promoted to Partner in 2003. He was previously the controller of a Chicago-based health insurance company.
