Michael is a Partner in FGMK’s Specialty Tax Practice. Michael has over 15 years of experience and his practice covers the areas of international tax planning and compliance, including cross-border restructurings, repatriation planning, as well as inbound and outbound tax strategy. His client portfolio spans a number of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology, and transportation.

Prior to joining FGMK in 2019, Michael spent several years with PwC Chicago, EY Detroit and a billion-dollar Michigan based automotive supplier as the director of international tax, where he was involved in all facets of international tax structuring and repat planning, provision, compliance, domestic audit defense and cross-border merger/reorganization transactions. He was also responsible for negotiating and resolving statutory tax audits around the world, including jurisdictions with rapidly evolving regulatory environments. In addition, Michael spent several years in the Japanese services practice at a regional public accounting firm where his focus was on in-bound tax strategy, provision, and compliance.
